Creating a coastal Look with Style Sourcebook

To create this casual coastal look, I have used a combination of natural elements, loads of texture and a soft neutral colour palette which reflects the colours in the surf hut artwork.

When I’m designing a room, I love to select the artwork first as it makes it easy to decide on the colour palette and it can also set the mood in the space. I’ve chosen the Choices Flooring Eternity Rico Carpet in the colour Foxhound for this space. It has such a beautiful texture and tone and works so well in coastal homes. The James Hardie panels are also a must have item for creating the ultimate coastal look.

I created this design using Style Sourcebook. I am a longtime user and swear by it whenever I need to create a look quickly. It’s such a fantastic resource. It is so easy to use, plus it features so many incredible Australian businesses. If you have an idea in mind for your home, it’s always best to create a mood board first to see if it will all work together. I can’t recommend it enough.

Choices Flooring also have a great ‘RoomView’ visualiser tool which makes it so much easier to decide which flooring, rugs and window treatments will work best in your home.

Choosing the right flooring is one of the most important decisions you will make in your home, so it’s important to get it right. I created this relaxed coastal look using only products found on Style Sourcebook. The selection of materials is endless, and it also allows you to test out what colours, textures and features will work best in your home.
